Dr Emina Subasic is Senior Lecturer and Program Convenor (Master of Business Psychology) at the School of Psychological Sciences, University of Newcastle, Australia. Her teaching and research span social, organizational and political psychology. She examines how people, groups and societies change using theory development as well as quantitative experimental and survey methodology. A central idea driving her work is that psychological transformation of the self is at the core of change: that by changing identities (who we are) we can change society—and vice versa! She examines these ideas across contexts where leadership for change across intergroup boundaries is called for, including the mobilisation of men and women for gender equality.
