In celebration of the Women's World Cup, join us on August 3rd for an expert discussion on breaking down the gendered barriers in sport.

GIWL ANU is excited to be hosting an event in partnership with the Brazilian Embassy to explore the challenges and opportunities faced by women in sport, with a particular focus on soccer with the FIFA Women's World Cup.

This panel will explore the gendered barriers in sport, from the sports gender pay gap to the underrepresentation of women in every level of sports leadership across administration, management, coaching, officiating and the media. We will also celebrate female sporting trailblazers and showcase the latest research on gender equality and women’s health in sport, including best practice guidance on how to boost equality.
