Kathleen is a current Master of Public Health student specialising in psychiatric epidemiology at the Australian National University. She assesses gender equality through the lens of history and philosophy of science, interrogating concepts, measures, and causal claims that can embed gendered assumptions in health. She combines this critique with epidemiological analysis to shape equity-focused, community-centred mental-health strategies. Her recent work includes the Indonesian community gatekeepers' mental-health modelling, the evaluation of task-shifting as an emic promotion strategy, and an adolescent mental-health literacy module.
