Renata Bongiorno is a social psychologist with expertise in stereotyping, prejudice, collective action and social change. Within these areas she has particular expertise in understanding and addressing gender prejudices and privileges relating to leadership, sexual harassment and sexual assault. Her research also examines mobilising action to address the climate emergency.
Renata received her PhD from the ANU. She worked as a researcher and lectured in Australia before relocating to the United Kingdom in 2017 for her current role as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter with Prof Michelle Ryan.
Renata’s research has received broad media coverage and she has written several articles about her research for the general public.
